These shots make me want to live in NYC. I know where some of these were taken, but others have really impressive vantage points from high up in buildings, so you’ve probably never seen photos quite like this.
How do you get that access? Do you just have to know someone, or do you actually put out solicitations to building residents to use their apartment or something?

What amazing images! It’s crazy that a whole tourist industry has built up around this in a relatively short amount of time. The photos are incredible, but read the whole article, too, it’s very interesting.
I’m going to South Africa later this year, but not near Cape Town… I guess I’ll just have to go back to see great whites. Wow.

As always, an amazing series of photos, made even more signifiant because it was the last flight of the Endeavor. In the next year or two, it will come to LA. I’d like to see it, but I’m guessing there will be an extremely high demand at first.
My favorite photo (by far) is #17, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a shot quite like it, and certainly only a handful of people in the world have ever even had the opportunity to see it in person.

Great chameleon shot. I like the composition with the eye in the center, and the deep greens. I’m not sure where this particular species is from, but I sure hope I get to see a chameleon when I visit Africa later this year.

This caught my eye because I’ve wanted to do something similar at LAX. In particular, there is a park on the South side of the airport that overlooks it. The only problem is I don’t have a long enough lens, but I might rent one just for this purpose. We’ll see.

It took several seconds for my eyes and brain to figure out what was going on here. At first glance I thought it was a drawing or painting. What a crazy contrast… technically, it’s impressive that there is still detail in the trees and the foreground, rather than them being all-black.

Timelapse - The City Limits (by Dominic)
Gorgeous time lapse video of cities, very well done. The Inception music certainly adds to the overall feel, but the quality of the images is just superb. Everything’s crisp, clear and steady, and each scene has me searching for more details within.
